A: Hello, Yes, the barn can be converted into a house. We would need either a hand sketch or list of what you want inside for the layout, including the upstairs to be able to provide an exact quote. We guestimate the fee would be between $500 and $1000 in addition to the plan package purchase. Allow 5 to 8 working days for preliminary plans, and another 10 to 14 working days for final plans. Thanks.
A: Hello, Yes, those changes would work. We would likely flip the living space so the stairs end up in the living area, instead of bedroom, and it would be a little wider upstairs. We would replace the loft sliding doors with windows, and add windows along the sides upstairs however you want. The modification fee would be $595 in addition to the purchase of the five set or pdf plan package. When you are ready to proceed, please call the website to place your order for the plan package. Be sure to tell them that you are having modifications done by the designer. They will process the order, and send a copy to us. We will then proceed with preliminary plans for your review. We would request payment when we have completed the final plans. Allow 8 to 10 working days for preliminary plans, and another 12 to 18 working days for final plans. Timelines change with our workload, and may vary depending on when you decide to proceed. We look forward to working with you. PS- We do not offer a materials list for this barn at this time. We may offer it in the future, but we don’t yet have it. So please do not order the materials, as we will just have to refund that portion later. It is shown as an option online, but has not yet been created. Local builders and carpenters are the best source for a materials list. Modification Department Stephen Mathis, CPBD
